NAPERVILLE, IL — Naper Pride will not take place this September, despite conflicting information online, Naper Pride President Margie Wolf told Patch.
The event had been slated for Sept. 12.
Wolf said the decision not to host a Pride event was made in October 2025. She told Patch the organization had applied for a grant from the Special Events and Community Arts (SECA) commission, but withdrew the application once they decided not to hold the event, allowing the funds to be used for other applicants.
Wolf said the Naper Pride celebration was canceled so the organization could "reallocate the budget in order to expand our service initiatives in order to better serve our community."
