Naperville resident Deborah A. Carder, a partner with the family law firm of Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, has been named President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers (DAWL). Carder will lead the 200 plus member organization that brings together lawyers, judges and other professionals to advance the legal profession as well as support local community organizations through its fundraising efforts.
“What I value most about DAWL is not only our ability to give back to the legal community through mentoring and networking with our peers, but the ability to be active members of our local community by supporting non-profit organizations that provide vital services to residents in DuPage County,” said Carder. Carder noted that in 2011 the group will take an active role in working with the Family Shelter Service, which provides critical services for victims of domestic violence in DuPage County.
