Seager Park Closing for Construction

With the new interpretive center now under roof and the rough grading complete for the dry detention area,  construction at is set to progress substantially through the spring and summer. Therefore, for safety reasons, the must close the park for construction, beginning the week of April 11.

Signs will be posted at the main driveway entrance on Plank Road, at the pedestrian entrance on Plank Road, and at the pedestrian entrance at Yorkshire Manor. The park most likely will remain closed through the summer months.

The Seager Park project is on schedule to be completed by late fall 2011. The project is funded, in part, by an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and by a Water Quality Improvement Program grant from the DuPage County Stormwater Management Division.
