Another Naperville Resident Wakes Up To Find Stranger In Home

Police say this is the second time in less than a week that a resident woke up to find a burglar inside their home.

NAPERVILLE, IL — For the second time in less than a week, a Naperville resident woke up to find a stranger inside of their home. Police say the incident took place in the 100 block of South Whispering Hills Drive.

According to police, the resident was awoken Thursday morning, possibly by commotion in the home in the morning. Upon awaking, they discovered there was a man inside their home.

On Feb. 10, a resident in the 900 block of Fairway Drive woke up to find a strange man standing inside of her bedroom. Police later arrested Deonte Ware, 23, in connection with the incident.

In both cases, the victims had left a door to their home unlocked. Police are advising residents to stay vigilant and to keep their doors and windows locked at all times.

At press time, no suspects were currently in custody for the incident Thursday morning.
