Authors, Business Owners Launch 'Living the Amazing' Book Kickstarter Campaign

WHAT: Local authors Jacqueline Camacho-Ruiz and Juan Pablo Ruiz are asking the public to help fund the Living the Amazing Kickstarter campaign book project. The campaign began July 28 and will last until Aug. 31.
WHY: Written by Jacqueline Camacho-Ruiz and Juan Pablo Ruiz, Living the Amazing is a simple, inspiring guide to living your best life. Working side by side for 10 years, the North Aurora-based couple combined their talent to build JJR Marketing, their successful public relations and marketing firm based in Naperville. They also use their talent and treasure to help their community in many ways. Jacqueline and Juan Pablo launched their own nonprofit called The Fig Factor Foundation to help young Latinas embrace their goals and aspirations. She has also served as a committee member or an advisor for many organizations such as the YWCA Aurora, Fox Valley Entrepreneurship Center, Mexican Cultural Center and Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy’s (IMSA) IN2 Steve and Jamie Chen Center.
Through their book, readers will discover seven powerful principles through an interactive reader experience that intermingles prose with sumptuous design. Some of those principles include: activate your passion; accelerate your dreams; zap negativity and nurture relationships.
Readers will also learn about how the couple created an amazing life together despite many setbacks and false starts. They share their story of immigrating to the United States, creating a successful business and exploring what an amazing life looks and feels like – from both a male and female perspective. Each chapter offers a buffet of super short, easy-to-read selections. Enjoy real stories of love, loss and life; tips simple yet profound; and art for the eye and heart to feast on.
WHERE: The goal is to raise $5,000. Monies raised will cover the book’s production costs. Incentives include a travel mug, an autographed book, “Living the Amazing” box filled with special items and a “Living the Amazing” Keynote Speaker and 20 books package.

Jacqueline Camacho-Ruiz and Juan Pablo Ruiz came to the United States from Mexico and fell in love. He was creative. She was ambitious. He loved beautiful design and fast cars. She wanted to change the world by helping others. Then they made a choice to beat the odds, live the dream, and author their own amazing life. The couple has touched thousands through their creative work, philanthropic endeavors and speaking engagements. Amidst many challenges, they built JJR Marketing, Inc. into one of the top creative firms in the Midwest. Dreaming of what the future can be is an intuitive pastime for both authors. Juan Pablo enjoys drawing his dreams, racing his sports cars and creating designs for JJR clients. Jacqueline uses journaling and meditation to bring her dreams to life. By way of these channels, she leads JJR and is the founder of the Fig Factor Foundation, a nonprofit that empowers young Latinas, and is one of the few Latina sport airplane pilots in the U.S. Living the Amazing is Jacqueline’s ninth book and the first co-authored with Juan Pablo.
