NAPERVILLE, IL — A DuPage County judge granted a request Monday to lower bail for a woman accused of fatally stabbing a Naperville man in early October. Judge Liam Brennan lowered bail for Jessica Hoskin, 29, of Aurora, from $500,000 to $150,000 after defense attorneys for Hoskin claim she acted in self-defense, Daily Herald reports.

Hoskin turned herself in Oct. 1 after police found Scott Hardy, 54, fatally stabbed inside a home in the 700 block of Inland Circle. According to court documents, Hoskin stabbed Hardy during an argument, severing his jugular vein and carotid artery.
