Bethany Lutheran Cross Country Boys are State Champions!

The Bethany Lutheran Boys Cross Country team are the Illinois State Champions! Their top 5 runners placed 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, and 29th to easily take the title this past Saturday. The 5th runner had an extra tough race as he got spiked with a pair of cleats in the leg. He ran a tough race and still managed to set a personal record. After the race, he headed to the doctor and received four stitches! These boys have been training together for years, and their hard work finally paid off with big rewards. The boys will head up to Mequon, Wisconsin, this Saturday to compete in Nationals. Bethany has been in Naperville since 1930, and this is their first Cross Country Championship!
