NAPERVILLE, IL --- The weather may be cold and dreary outside, but Naperville is already looking forward to Ribfest 2019, when pleasant temps and a special musical performer may make it a nice day...for a "white wedding." Rocker Billy Idol has been announced as the headliner of Ribfest 2019 in a post on the Ribfest website Friday.
The Grammy-nominated artist will perform on July 3, the first night of the three-day festival. With such hits as, "White Wedding" and "Rebel Yell," Idol's illustrious career spans more than four decades.
Tickets to Billy Idol's performance at Ribfest will go on sale Friday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. on the Ribfest website. Ticket prices to see the legendary rocker take the main stage at Knoch Park are just $35 per person.

Idol's performance will be an epic start of the three-day sendoff for the Exchange Club of Naperville's Ribfest, which is celebrating its final year at Knoch Park with the theme of "Last Nights at Knoch." Park District officials plan to revamp Knoch Park and Ribfest organizers are currently exploring other venues for 2020.
The change in venue may mean that 2019's Ribfest will be the last to be held in Naperville.
