Boy Threatened To 'Shoot Up School' In Naperville: Police
The boy allegedly made the threat in a chatroom online.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- A Naperville boy faces felony charges after he allegedly threatened to "shoot up the school" in a post in an online chatroom Monday. Police say the post, which threatened Washington Junior High School, was reported by someone who was in the same chatroom and became concerned.
The suspect was reportedly taken into custody the same day after an investigation by Naperville police.
After the incident, which is similar to an increasing amount of threats to schools throughout DuPage County, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin stressed that threats made against schools will be taken seriously. Berlin said, "Any threatening message directed at a school will be thoroughly investigated and charged accordingly." He also thanked Naperville police for their work on the case.
