Boy's Life Saved At Centennial Beach In Naperville
A lifeguard was performing CPR on the boy,13, when paramedics got to the scene.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- A 13-year-old boy's life was saved after he was pulled from the water at Centennial Beach in Naperville Thursday evening. Fire officials say a beach lifeguard was performing CPR on the boy when paramedics arrived. .
Emergency medics were called to the water park for a report of a near drowning with the victim not breathing, Fire Department Deputy Chief of Operations Andrew Dina told Patch via email. When they arrived, the boy was breathing, but still was not conscious, Dina said.
Paramedics began aggressive airway management and IV care to help revive the teen. Dina said the boy was breathing and responding to commands when he was taken to Edward Hospital for followup care.
