Car Passengers Robbed At Gunpoint In Naperville: Cops
Police say the victims were sitting a car that was stopped when the armed robbery took place.
NAPERVILLE, IL -- Naperville police are investigating an armed robbery that took place on the city's northwest side Sunday afternoon. Police say that just before 1 p.m., a pair of men approached a Jeep near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Whispering Hills Drive and robbed its passengers at gunpoint.
According to a press release from Naperville Police Department Deputy Chief Jason Arres, the two men came up to a silver Jeep while it was stopped and displayed a "small handgun." After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, both men fled west towards the rear of a home in the 1500 block of west Jefferson.
