Car Splits In Half, Catches Fire In Naperville Crash
The crash left a 47-year-old Lisle man with serious injuries.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A 47-year-old Lisle man is in serious condition after the car he was driving hit a traffic pole, split in half, and burst into flames Friday night. Police say it appears the man was driving east on Ogden Avenue just before 10 p.m. when he lost control of his car near Columbia.
The victim was safely removed from his car and taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries.
The crash closed the area near Ogden and Columbia until around 5 a.m. as crews from the Naperville Police Department's traffic unit worked to reconstruct the crash.
