Catch an Encore Performance of "50 Years of Musicals from the Summer Place Theatre"

Lucky you! Recorded for historical significance by community television station NCTV17, this show is now available for you to watch!

The Summer Place, Naperville's oldest community theatre, celebrated its 50th anniversary over the weekend of July 8, 9 and 10 with musical walk down Memory Lane. The show was well-received by enthusiastic audiences, some of whom came back to see it more than once! Community television station NCTV17 recorded the opening night performance to add to Naperville's historic video archives which offers an unique encore opportunity.

"50 Years of Musicals from the Summer Place Theatre" included snippets of songs from all the musicals Summer Place ever performed interspersed with tidbits of history and memories of past shows. The ensemble cast of singers presented the majority of the songs and were joined onstage for certain numbers by guest performers from the original productions. Long-time Summer Place fans will love seeing these familiar faces once again! In between the musical medleys, board members and actors both past and present took turns narrating stories from the last five decades of the theatre.

The encore performance can be seen at 7:00pm on Friday, July 15 locally on Channel 17 on Comcast, WOW!, or Channel 99 on AT&T. Or you can watch it on your computer with their livestream programming which means friends of Summer Place anywhere in the world can watch in online, so share the news!
