Bring life back to our neighborhood path and Creek

There’s a small creek that runs through our Hunter’s Woods neighborhood in Naperville along the path families use every day to get to the park and local elementary school. Our kids play here. We walk this path often. It should feel alive. Right now, it doesn’t. Parts of the creek have stagnant water, debris buildup, and bare muddy banks with little healthy vegetation. It feels neglected and is a missed opportunity for something much better.
We’re working with the City to address drainage and cleanup, but that process takes time. Instead of waiting, we want to take the first step as a community. Our goal is to transform this space into a thriving native habitat filled with pollinator-friendly plants, grasses, and flowers. Native plants will help stabilize the creek banks, improve water quality, and support bees, butterflies, and birds.
Funds will go directly toward native plant plugs and materials to help them establish and grow. If you’ve ever walked this path or care about creating better natural spaces in our community, we’d truly appreciate your support. Let’s bring this space back to life.
