Crystal Lake Kicks Off Holiday Season With Parade of Lights

The parade will be held on Nov. 28.

The Festival of Lights Parade in Crystal Lake will step off at 7 p.m. on Nov. 28.

New this year, no parking will be allowed on several downtown Crystal Lake streets to allow for a wider, and safer, passage for parade vehicles.

No parking will be allowed after 5 p.m. on North Caroline Street, Crystal Lake Avenue, Grant Street, Woodstock Street and Williams Street.

Vehicles should park in public/commuter parking lots downtown.

Santa House visits will begin for the season immediately following the parade. The last day of visits will be on Dec. 23.

Santa House hours will be:

  • Thursday & Friday (6 to 8 p.m.)
  • Saturday (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) 
  • Sunday (noon to 3 p.m.)
