NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville Community Unit School District 203 plans to reconsider its ban on "team prayers" in schools, following a Supreme Court ruling in favor of a Washington coach who had not been permitted to pray or kneel on the football field following a game, Chicago Tribune reports.

District 203 Superintendent Dan Bridges had banned "team prayers" during athletic events at the district's two high schools following a complaint that was filed after a 2015 Naperville Central High School football game. The complaint had been filed by the Freedom From Religion Foundation in the wake of a "team prayer" that was conducted at the game, per Chicago Tribune.

Board members are set to review the Supreme Court's opinion and decide whether to consider lifting the ban on "team prayer."
