Dogs Saved From Fire After Lightning Hits Naperville Home
The fire started when lightning hit the roof of the home.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Two pet dogs are safe and sound after a neighbor saved them from their home when it caught on fire Friday. The fire started when lightning hit the roof of the home, which is located in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue.
Fire officials say the neighbor ran into the home and removed both dogs before the fire department got to the scene. Once firefighters were onsite, they were able to put out the fire, which was concentrated in the attic.
The dogs —and their owners— were able to return to their home.
