Dr. Catherine Stachnik, neurologist, joins Edward Neurosciences Institute

Dr. Stachnik is accepting new patients at the Institute's offices in Naperville (on the Edward Hospital campus) and Crest Hill.

Catherine Stachnik, DO, board certified in neurology, has joined the Edward Neurosciences Institute in affiliation with Northwestern Medicine.

Her clinical expertise includes treating neuropathies, radiculopathies, motor neuron disease, myasthenia gravis, myopathies and other neurologic conditions. Dr. Stachnik, a subspecialist in neuromuscular medicine, uses electrodiagnostic testing, such as nerve conduction studies (NCVs) and electromyographies (EMGs), to diagnose these conditions.

Dr. Stachnik earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, completed her residency in neurology at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago and completed a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at the Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center.

Dr. Stachnik is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She is fluent in Polish and Spanish.
