Dr. Drew Spencer, neuro/spine surgeon, joins Edward Neurosciences Institute

Dr. Spencer is accepting new patients at the Institute's offices in Naperville, 120 Spalding Dr., on the campus of Edward Hospital.

The Edward Neurosciences Institute (ENI) in affiliation with Northwestern Medicine has announced Drew Spencer, MD, who specializes in neurological and spine surgery, is joining its team.

Dr. Spencer is accepting new patients at ENI’s location on the Edward Hospital campus, 120 Spalding Dr., Suite 308. To schedule an appointment, call (630) 527-7730.

Dr. Spencer earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University. He completed his fellowship in neuro-oncology at the University of Chicago Brain Tumor Center and his neurological surgery residency at Northwestern University, including rotations at Loyola University Medical Center, Lurie Children’s Hospital and Edward Hines VA Hospital.

Dr. Spencer specializes in the treatment of malignant and benign brain and spinal tumors, as well as other neurological disorders. His clinical and research interests include all varieties of intracranial and spinal tumors, and transitional therapy for brain tumors.

Dr. Spencer is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Society for Neuro-Oncology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He has authored several book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles pertaining to neurological surgery, and presented at multiple national conferences.
