Driver Dies After Crashing Into Pole In Naperville

The 57-year-old man from Bolingbrook died following a crash Saturday morning, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Bolingbrook man died Saturday after crashing into a utility pole in Naperville, according to authorities.

Robert J. Lentz, 57, was pronounced dead about 11 a.m. at the intersection of Plainfield-Naperville Road and Gateshead Drive after the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and hit the pole, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

Naperville police are investigating and an autopsy is scheduled for Sunday, the coroner's office reported, noting the final cause and manner of death is pending police, autopsy and toxicology reports.
