The multi-car crash took place on New Year's Day.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- A Lisle woman faces DUI charges after a four-car pileup crash in Naperville that sent three people to the hospital on New Year's Day. Police say Sara Ricker, 49, of the 5300 block of Newport Street, Lisle was driving above the speed limit when she crashed near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and 75th Street just before 5:30 p.m., Chicago Tribune reports.
Ricker allegedly hit a vehicle that was stopped at a traffic light, which caused the four-car pileup. Three people who were injured in the collision were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not deemed to be life-threatening.
Police charged Ricker with driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic violations in connection with the four-car crash. She was taken into custody and later released on bond.
