Back in January, DuPage Children’s Museum (DCM) experienced the “Great Flood,” which damaged all three floors, causing the Museum to temporarily close. “We wanted to support the Museum during a difficult time and “5% Day” was a perfect opportunity. Together Megan ZelKo, Marketing and Community Relations Specialist, Whole Foods Wheaton, and I coordinated efforts with our stores and DCM to host it on Tuesday, May 19th. DCM was on-site at both locations with traveling exhibits, marketing materials, staff and volunteers,” said Deb Kwiatt, Marketing and Community Relations, Whole Foods Market Naperville.

The event was a tremendous success and Whole Foods Market Naperville and Wheaton were thrilled to present a check to DCM for $10,528.00. “We are extremely appreciative of this outreach effort. Collaborative partnerships with local businesses are very important to us,” explained Dee Dee McDevitt, Director of Marketing and Sales, DuPage Children’s Museum. DCM is still working hard and is on track to reopen before the end of summer. Stay tuned for more details.
