NAPERVILLE, IL -- After months of discussion and planning regarding a place for DuPage Children's Museum in the future of Naperville's 5th Avenue train district, officials have decided that the museum will stay put. Initially, a working committee had explored options for relocating the children's museum, but none of the potential locations presented a "viable solution," city officials said in a press release.

The working group, which included Mayor Steve Chirico, Councilwoman Patty Gustin, City Manager Doug Krieger, and several administrators from DuPage Children's Museum, evaluated a number of potential spots for relocating the museum. Among these were the city's thriving East Ogden Corridor.

The committee evaluated the viability of DuPage Children's Museum at each potential location, reviewing "financial, legal and logistical considerations." It was ultimately decided that the children's museum will "remain a vital component of the 5th Avenue redevelopment project."
