Dust Collector Causes Fire At Naperville Warehouse: Fire Dept.

The fire started at a building in the 1100 block of Frontenac.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville Fire Department officials say a faulty dust collector was to blame for a fire that broke out in a warehouse Friday. The fire, which was spotted around 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Frontenac, required additional assistance from the Aurora Fire Department, according to a news release from Naperville Fire Department Bureau Chief Jim Kubinski.

Kubinski said fire crews got to the scene to find heavy smoke and a fire coming from the back of the building. Firefighters fought the blaze from the inside of the building and were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes.

The Aurora Fire Department was dispatched to bring a ventilation machine to the scene to help clear smoke from the warehouse.
