Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville Gets New Name and New Life

Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville announces a new name and significant organizational regeneration.

As part of a re-branding strategy, Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville, an adult day services facility located in the Alfred A. Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, has announced a name change and significant organizational regeneration.

Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville is now called Riverwalk Adult Day Services. In addition to the name change, the organization has developed a long term strategic plan, a new logo, new communications materials and completed facility renovation by March 15, 2018.

The milestone of the organization’s 35th anniversary prompted an initiative to conduct market analysis, hold focus group meetings and complete a comprehensive 10-year strategic plan under the direction of the Fox Valley SCORE mentor team. The new logo, developed by Scott Kolbe of Sikich LLC, embodies the mission of the organization, which is to provide a safe, social and stimulating environment for adults in need of daytime care.

Said Kolbe, “I feel the name change was essential to help define the area served as well as to be more approachable. My goal was to create a logo that visually captures the personality of the organization and conveys the scope of services provided. I feel we have created a logo that effectively achieves both.”

The Riverwalk Adult Day Services name is inclusive of all adults and consistent with the state and national nomenclature for the provision of day services to adults who need full-time attention. Given the daunting cost of adult home and institutional care, it is the organization’s goal to communicate an affordable alternative that allows loved ones to age at home, while providing respite for caregivers.

Through this revitalization, the organization will achieve its objectives to provide: a cooperative, loving and caring ministry; respite, support and education for caregivers; community education; and active engagement with other social service and healthcare providers. Having provided over 700,000 hours of day services to the community, Riverwalk Adult Day Services is poised to continue its legacy of excellent day services.
