Edward earns A in Leapfrog Spring 2019 Hospital Safety Grades

Edward-Elmhurst Health was also recently recognized as one of the nation's 15 Top Health Systems by IBM Watson Health.

Edward Hospital in Naperville and Elmhurst Hospital, part of the Edward-Elmhurst Health system, each earned an A in The Leapfrog Group’s Spring 2019 Hospital Safety Grades.

Elmhurst Hospital is one of only 41 hospitals in the U.S. to achieve an A in every update since Leapfrog began the Hospital Safety Grades in 2012. To see details of Edward and Elmhurst’s A grades, visit www.hospitalsafetygrade.org.

The Leapfrog Group is a national organization committed to improving health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. Leapfrog uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D or F grade twice a year to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms among patients in their care.

In addition, Edward-Elmhurst Health was recently recognized as one of the nation’s 15 Top Health Systems by IBM Watson Health. Edward-Elmhurst, which includes Edward Hospital in Naperville, Elmhurst Hospital and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health (on the Edward Hospital campus), was one of five systems recognized in the Medium Health Systems category.
