Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare will host a Lunch & Learn program, “Advances in Congestive Heart Failure,” on Wednesday, August 12, 12 noon – 1 p.m. in the Edward Heart Hospital Lobby Conference Room, 801 S. Washington St. in Naperville.

Nearly five million Americans live with congestive heart failure and approximately half a million new cases are diagnosed in the U.S. each year. Significant advances have been made in recent years to improve management and treatment of congestive heart failure.

Maria Costanzo, MD of Edward Heart Hospital and Midwest Heart-Advocate Medical Group, a cardiologist who specializes in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure, will provide information about congestive heart failure, its causes and symptoms, and new treatment options available to control progression of the disease and improve quality of life.
