Edward Foundation SHARE Service of Remembrance on Dec. 5

Those who attend may share a poem or reading, and are encouraged to bring an ornament to hang on the SHARE tree.

The Edward Foundation SHARE Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 7-8:30 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 821 S. Washington St. in Naperville. SHARE is a support group for parents who have lost a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or early infant death.

Those who attend the Service of Remembrance may share a poem or reading, and are encouraged to bring an ornament to hang on the SHARE tree to honor the loved one who has deeply impacted their life. The SHARE tree will be displayed in the South Lobby of Edward Hospital throughout the holiday season for families to visit.

Each year in the U.S., one of every four pregnancies ends in miscarriage, 26,000 children die as a result of stillbirth and another 19,000 children succumb to early infant death. As a result, thousands of families leave the hospital each year without their child – with empty arms, broken hearts and a love for their deceased child that will never diminish.
