Edward Hospital Coronavirus Update: Hospital Treating 8 Patients

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville's Edward Hospital has seen a decrease in its number of coronavirus inpatients compared to recent weeks. At press time, the hospital is treating eight inpatients with coronavirus, according to hospital spokesperson Keith Hartenberger.

Hartenberger said in an email Monday that there had been no coronavirus-related deaths at the hospital in the past 72 hours. In total, there have been 45 coronavirus deaths at Edward Hospital.

The new numbers reflect a large decrease in coronavirus patients at Edward Hospital in the past two weeks. As of June 1, there were 29 inpatients with coronavirus in treatment at the hospital.

Hartenberger added that three inpatients who recovered from coronavirus had been discharged in the past 72 hours. Since March 24, 388 coronavirus patients have been treated, recovered and discharged from the hospital.
