Edward Hospital Reports 29 Coronavirus Patients, 336 Recoveries

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville's Edward Hospital is currently treating 29 inpatients with the new coronavirus. For a bit of good news, they added that 336 coronavirus patients have recovered and been discharged since March 24, according to Edward-Elmhurst Health spokesperson Keith Hartenberger.

Hartenberger said one patient who recovered from coronavirus was discharged from the hospital since Sunday.

A patient with coronavirus also died at the hospital within the past 72 hours, Hartenberger said, adding that the death was a male in his 80s from DuPage County. In total, the hospital has seen 40 deaths due to coronavirus.

The case numbers at Edward Hospital have sharply decreased from Patch's last report, in which 43 inpatients were reported.

Edward Hospital is placing a decorative daffodil outside the hospital to honor each patient who has recovered from coronavirus.
