Edward Hospital names Law Enforcement Officer of the Year

Naperville Police Officer Dylan Krueger was recognized as Edward's Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in a ceremony on Sept. 18.

Officer Dylan Krueger of the Naperville Police Department has been named the 2018 Edward Hospital Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Officer Krueger was honored in a ceremony at Edward Hospital’s monthly Management Team meeting on Sept. 18.

In early June 2018, Officer Krueger was dispatched to Edward Hospital for a report of a person threatening to jump from the parking deck. During an hour-long conversation, Officer Krueger was able to talk the person off the ledge of the parking deck’s top level. Later, Officer Krueger took advantage of an opportunity to get within a few feet of the person and was able to safely bring him to the floor.

The Officer of the Year Award is part of Edward-Elmhurst Health’s Law Enforcement Recognition Program, which is a program to show support for the system’s partners in law enforcement throughout the region, including police and sheriff’s departments in Naperville, Plainfield, St. Charles, and DuPage and Will Counties.
