Edward Hospital Treating Fewer Coronavirus Inpatients

NAPERVILLE, IL — The number of new coronavirus inpatients at Edward Hospital in Naperville has sharply declined compared to recent weeks, according to information from hospital spokesperson Keith Hartenberger. As of Monday afternoon, Edward Hospital was treating 10 inpatients with coronavirus.

The new numbers reflect a large decrease in coronavirus patients at Edward Hospital in the past two weeks. As of June 1, there were 29 inpatients with coronavirus in treatment at the hospital.

As of Monday, one patient who recovered from coronavirus had been discharged from Edward Hospital within the last 24 hours. There had been no deaths from coronavirus at the hospital in the last 72 hours.

Since March 24, 378 patients have recovered from coronavirus and been discharged from Edward Hospital, according to Hartenberger. In total, there have been 45 coronavirus-related deaths at the facility.
