Fire Spreads To 2 Homes, Displaces 2 Families In Naperville

The Red Cross was assisting the residents after the Wednesday evening fire.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two Naperville homes were extensively damaged by a fire in Naperville on Wednesday, displacing two families. At around 6:11 p.m., authorities received a 911 call reporting a fire in the attached garage of a single-family home in the 500 block of Springhill Circle. Firefighters who arrived on the scene found that it has spread from the garage of one home to the adjacent house, officials said.

There were no occupants in either home, according to the Naperville Fire Department. It took firefighters around 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which left both homes uninhabitable.

The Red Cross was on the scene to assist both families after the fire, officials said.
