Firefighters Battle Balcony Blaze In Naperville

The fire broke out in a coach house behind the home.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- Fire crews responded to a blaze that broke out on the balcony of a Naperville home Sunday evening. More than two dozen firefighters responded to the incident, which took place in a coach house in the 200 block of west Benton Street just before 5:30 p.m.

Firefighters spent more than an hour Sunday battling the blaze, according to a press release. Crews from Plainfield, Lisle-Woodridge, Darien-Woodridge, Wheaton, and other surrounding towns helped with the efforts.

Police who arrived at the scene helped one resident out of the home and another got out on their own. No residents or firefighters were injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
