'Growth And Poise:' Charlotte Chelich Is Naperville Star Athlete

NAPERVILLE, IL — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

She is my daughter

What sport does the star student athlete play?

Softball

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

She started playing the sport when she was four years old and developed a passion for pitching. While maintaining a GPA of 3.8 at Naperville North HS, she has been practicing 3-5 days a week all year around. Last year she was nominated the DVC Unanimous All-Conference Player Pitcher of the Year. She has played in multiple travel teams.

Coach Kedziora from NNHS said: "Quintessential all-around player, competitor and teammate. What growth and poise for one of the greatest persons on this team," Laprise wrote

During her last season in high school her stats were: Average .491, RBI 20, Runs 8, HR 6, K 113, ERA .913. She is a senior and verbally committed with Truman State University to play with the Bulldogs next year.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

She is determined to better herself in every way. As an athlete and a human being.
