
NAPERVILLE, IL — You might love the food, but sometimes the restaurants you visit aren’t always the cleanest places. And sometimes they are. You can know for sure with a health inspection report.
The DuPage County Health Department visited Hugo’s Sept. 14 for a routine inspection.
Below are notes from the health department on items out of compliance.
- Rice being stored over ice. Temped rice at 60 degrees F. Potentially hazardous foods must be held at a temperature of 41 degrees F or lower.
- Temped fish at 47 degrees F and pico de gallo at 50 degrees F inside reach in cooler at cook line. Potentially hazardous foods must be held at a temperature of 41 degrees F or lower.
- Propane tanks stored above food prep area.
- Reach in cooler at prep line not maintaining a temperature of 41 degrees F or lower.
- Temped potatoes inside walk in cooler at 56 degrees F., without a label. Cooling potentially hazardous foods must be labeled with the date and time the cooling process began.
The restaurant received a demerit score of 23. Demerit scores start at zero and increase as violations are observed. This is the sum of the weight (Wt) of each item marked.
