Hootie And The Blowfish Drummer Donates Drums To Naper Settlement
Hootie and the Blowfish drummer Jim Sonefeld, who graduated from Naperville Central, donated the kit.

NAPERVILLE, IL — If you were alive in the '90s, it's almost certain that you heard a song by Hootie and the Blowfish. What you may not have known is that the drummer from Hootie and the Blowfish, Jim Sonefeld, graduated from Naperville Central High School. And he just donated his drum set to Naper Settlement for an upcoming exhibit.
In a news release, Naper Settlement said Sonefeld used the drum kit during the band's tour for its Grammy-winning album, "Cracked Rear View." The kit's bass drum head features signatures from each of the members of Hootie and the Blowfish.
Sonefeld's famous drum kit will be on display through May 19 as part of Naper Settlement's "NHS|50: Treasures & Chronicles" exhibit.
