Online Seller Robbed At Gunpoint In Naperville: Cops
Police are reminding residents to use the Naperville Police Department to conduct online sales.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Police in Naperville are investigating an armed robbery that took place during what was supposed to be a pre-arranged meeting for an online transaction. The robbery took place Tuesday in the 200 block of East Bailey Road.
According to police, the victim had scheduled a meetup to sell a high-dollar item. When they got to the meetup spot, the victim was approached by two suspects, one of whom had a handgun.
The suspects took the item and fled in a red car, according to police. Anyone with information is urged to call the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-6666.

In the wake of the armed robbery, police are also reminding residents to use the Naperville Police Department to conduct online transactions more safely. Internet transactions can be done in the lobby from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. When the lobby is closed, residents can use one of two parking spots in the police lot to conduct online business.
