Japanese delegation visits Edward Hospital surgery department

Tokyo-based company makes Edward latest stop during research of surgical practices at U.S. hospitals.

A delegation from Tokyo, Japan visited Edward Hospital’s surgical services department on September 10. Representatives of Hogy Medical Company, a manufacturer of nonwoven fabric and sterilized medical goods, focused on a variety of aspects of Edward’s surgical care, including the operating room (OR) environment; flow of materials, equipment and people during surgery; equipment management; disposable surgical kits; efficiency of the OR work environment; and OR-related issues, concerns, and challenges. Hogy teams have visited 20 other hospitals in the U.S. over the past several months, including UCLA Medical Center, Emory University Hospital, John Muir Medical Center, Orlando Regional Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, Tufts Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center. As a thank you, the company made a generous donation to the Edward Foundation.
