Naperville native Holzhauer and reigning champ Ken Jennings finished the first episode just 200 points apart.

CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA — Naperville native James Holzhauer is aiming to take the title of Greatest of All Time on Jeopardy!, but he's getting a run for his money from reigning champ Ken Jennings. On Tuesday's two-game episode, Holzhauer finished just 200 points behind Jennings, who currently holds the record for most money won on the show.
Going into the Final Jeopardy! round of the second game, Holzhauer led with $15,000. Jennings had $12,200 and Brad Rutter had $10,000. The clue was: "This man's name was given to a comet that crashed into Jupiter in 1994; he's the only human whose remains lie on the moon."
Jennings and Holzhauer both got the correct answer, which was Eugene Shoemaker. Jennings wagered $6,200, which brought his game total to $18,400. Holzhauer, a professional gambler who lives in Las Vegas, wagered $15,000, which brought his game total to $30,000.
