Juvenile Arrested In Connection With June Robbery, Car Theft In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL — A juvenile was arrested on Sept. 1 in connection with a robbery and car theft that took place in Naperville on June 19.

Police were called to the 700 block of Royal St. George Drive around 12:30 a.m. for a report that two people had stolen a wallet and car from a food delivery driver. According to police, the pair called the delivery driver with a false order before robbing him and stealing his car.

The stolen car was later involved in a traffic stop and recovered, but the suspects fled.

After a two-month investigation by the Naperville Police Department, the juvenile was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and felony robbery. Police are still investigating to identify the second suspect.
