Knife-Wielding Man Robs Subway In Naperville: Police

Police say the man forced employees to the floor before stealing an undisclosed amount of cash Thursday night.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A man displayed a knife and forced employees to get on the ground when he robbed a Subway in Naperville Thursday night, police say. The incident took place just after 9 p.m. at the Subway located at 2048 Aurora Ave.

Police say the man stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing by bicycle. No one was injured during the armed robbery.

The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a white logo across the chest, gray sweatpants, a camouflage bandana, dark gloves and black and white gym shoes.

The robbery comes amid a string of crimes that have recently been reported throughout Naperville. Two bank robberies took place in the city in late September, along with a jewelry store burglary and a shots fired incident.
