Know Him? Suspicious Person Set Off Alarm, Took Amazon Package
The man took a package from an Amazon driver and was caught on camera outside the Wheatland Township home.
WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office is looking to identify a suspect caught on surveillance camera in a "suspicious incident" Monday in Wheatland Township. Police said deputies responded to a home in the 400 block of Laurel Drive in Naperville at 10:40 a.m. Monday after the suspect apparently activated the home's burglar alarm. The suspect was no longer on the scene, but the homeowner's surveillance camera captured footage of him and his vehicle, according to police.
The suspect was also seen on video taking an Amazon package from a delivery driver. "The suspect previewed the package but upon leaving the scene left the package near the front door," the sheriff's office said. The home's burglar alarm was activated shortly after the suspect was seen approaching the back door of the house.
Police said the suspect's vehicle is possibly a black Toyota Camry with a spoiler. Neighbors reportedly told deputies they had seen the same subject near other homes in the area.
