Learn Ghost Storytelling Techniques
Practice spooky storytelling at this class offered by Summer Place Theatre on August 18.
Do you want to learn how to tell a scarier ghost story? How about brushing up your skills to tell a funnier one to thrill youngsters?
Summer Place Theatre has been telling Ghost Stories in the Park...In the Dark during the first weekend in October for years and wants to share tried-and-true theatrical tips with you.
Your ghost-host Don Gingold will lead a workshop in storytelling with special ghost storyteller guests during a two-hour class on Saturday, August 18. Proper story preparation, speaking, breathing, gesturing and microphone techniques will be taught and everyone in the class will practice telling a story to the group. Your story presentation will also serve as an audition -- you may be invited to tell your story during the October event!

No preparation is required to attend the workshop, but you are encouraged to bring a prepared Halloween story or monologue no more than two minutes long that can be used to workshop during the class.
Class size is limited to the first 10 registrants. We had an enthusiastic group last year who did a great job of sending chills down listener's spines. We invite you to join the class of 2019 and try to scare the pants off us!
