Lightning Strike Sets Home Ablaze In Naperville
Two residents and their pets were displaced from their home on Fourth of July.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two people and "multiple pets" were displaced from their Naperville home after a bolt of lighting struck the roof and caused it to catch on fire late Wednesday. Dozens of firefighters fought the blaze, which came as violent storms that swept Chicago's suburbs on Fourth of July.
Fire crews were called to the scene in the 2400 block of West Branch Ct. after a resident reported that their home was on fire after being hit by lighting. Two residents were outside of the home and unharmed when fire personnel arrived at the home.
After battling the flames on the home's roof in less than an hour, firefighters performed overhaul and salvage operations on the second floor of the residence for an hour and half, according to a press release.
