Linden Oaks to host program on medical marijuana Sept. 16

Kevin Sabet, Ph.D., an internationally recognized authority on drug policy, will be the guest speaker.

Linden Oaks Behavioral Health will present “Medical Marijuana: Legal, Health and Community Considerations” on Friday, September 16, 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. at the Northern Illinois University Conference Center Auditorium, 1120 E. Diehl Rd. in Naperville. There is a $30 fee to attend.

Kevin Sabet, Ph.D. will present the program, which will focus on medical marijuana legislation ramifications and policy updates. Dr. Sabet, who has worked as an official in the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy during three administrations, is an internationally recognized authority on drug policy and has served as a consultant to numerous government and non-government organizations, including the United Nations.

For professionals, 3.0 continuing education credits are offered for IAODAPCA (CADC), LCPC/LPC, LCSW/LSW, LMFT and Psychologists.
