Linden Oaks offers program for those with binge eating disorder
Participants will learn to identify the physical, emotional and environmental triggers for binge eating and compulsive eating.
Linden Oaks Behavioral Health is offering “Am I Hungry,” a series of ten two-hour workshops for individuals who struggle with binge eating disorder or compulsive overeating. The program will be held on Wednesdays, June 8 – August 10, 6 – 8 p.m. at Linden Oaks, 852 West St. on the campus of Edward Hospital in Naperville. The cost is $400. Registration is required. To register, call (630) 527-6363.
Participants will learn to identify the physical, emotional and environmental triggers for binge eating and compulsive eating. They will form strategies to reduce, re-think and re-create thought patterns as a way to interrupt the binge eating cycle. Individuals will also be taught mindfulness as a method for transforming their thinking into a powerful means of self-care.
Each registrant will receive a copy of “Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat for Binge Eating” and the companion workbook to help guide the process of cultivating a mindset of hope and recovery.
