Linden Oaks program, "Family-Focused Substance Abuse Prevention"
The program will provide parents with tools and tips to talk to their children about substance abuse.

As part of its ongoing Parenting Series, Linden Oaks Behavioral Health is presenting the program, “Family-Focused Substance Abuse Prevention,” on Tuesday, May 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at North Central College, Meiley-Swallow Hall Theatre, 31 S. Ellsworth St. in Naperville.
The featured speakers, David Lott, MD, FASAM, FAPA, Medical Director, Addiction Services, Linden Oaks and Justin Wolfe, LCPC, CADC, CRC, Clinical Therapist, Linden Oaks, will be joined by a panel of substance abuse experts and advocates, who will discuss a family-focused approach to preventing adolescent substance abuse.
Many parents have questions about how to talk to their kids, especially when it comes to explaining their own past experiences, portrayals of substance abuse in the media and the impact of social media. The program will provide parents with tools and tips to talk to their children and explain the consequences of addiction, including the impact on the lives of everyone surrounding the individual.
