M/I Homes Offers “Midnight Madness” Deals and Special Savings on May 20 at 21 Chicago-Area Communities

Buyers can tour M/I Homes communities and learn about special deals and promotions

M/I Homes will be burning the midnight oil at all 21 of its Chicago-area communities on Saturday, May 20, for the builder’s annual “Midnight Madness” sale. Sales centers will be open from noon to midnight, and prospective buyers can take advantage of a variety of special offers* that will be revealed during the promotion and valid only for this 12-hour period.

“Every year, our Midnight Madness sale is a fun way for us to build on the excitement and momentum of the spring homebuying season by adding some extra motivation for buyers to check out one of our communities,” said Curt VanHyfte, area president of M/I Homes. “And while we keep most of the special Midnight Madness deals a surprise until the day of the sale, the one thing we share in advance is that M/I Homes will be paying various amounts of closing costs for qualifying buyers when they use M/I Financial, a subsidiary of M/I Homes that offers financial services and mortgage programs. That alone is a great incentive for anyone to come out and visit one of our sales centers during this special promotion.”

During the Midnight Madness sale, buyers can tour M/I Homes communities and learn what other special deals and promotions are being offered at each one, including having their closing costs covered. While supplies last, prospective buyers will receive a free gift and can also enjoy complimentary pizza and refreshments that will be served at all sales centers at approximately 6:30 pm. The Midnight Madness sale will include all of M/I Homes’ active townhome and single-family home communities in the Chicago market.

“Our Midnight Madness deals vary from community to community, so when buyers stop in they will learn what specific bonuses and discounts are being offered on features, finishes or home sites for that particular location,” said Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes. “It can add up to significant savings that in many cases will help buyers get some of those extra touches in their home that weren’t part of their original budget.”

Bonk added that the Midnight Madness sale is an excellent opportunity for those already considering purchasing at an M/I Homes community, as well as those just starting out on their search for a new home. “Whatever the scenario might be, our goal is to get buyers excited and make it easier than ever to get a home that is perfect for them,” she said.

Homes at all M/I Homes communities come standard with the builder’s industry-leading 15-Year Transferable Structural Warranty, which not only allows buyers to purchase with confidence, but also adds value if the home is sold in the future. All homes are also WHOLE HOME Certified, an M/I Homes designation indicating the builder’s superior approach when constructing homes. Upon testing, an M/I home will receive a more favorable HERS (Home Energy Rating System) score than an Energy Star-certified home, which can save buyers upwards of 30 percent on their energy bills. A lower HERS Index means lower energy costs, and on average an M/I home achieves a HERS rating of 57, considerably lower than other resale homes and other builders in the market.
