Man Allegedly Kicked In Door, Burglarized Home In Naperville

Police say the the resident came home to find their door had been kicked in.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Police have arrested a man accused of breaking into and burglarizing a home in Naperville Thursday. Jeffrey B. Roman, 29, of Addison, was taken into custody shortly after the burglary, which took place in the 400 block of S. Julian St. just before 8:30 a.m.

Police say the victim got home to find that their back door had been kicked in. When police arrived at the scene, they concluded that the suspect had fled.

As police officers were interviewing neighbors and searching for the suspect, they received a call about a suspicious person in the area. An officer found Roman, who matched the suspect's description, near the intersection of North Avenue and Huffman Street.

Roman is charged with one felony count of residential burglary and is currently being held in DuPage County Jail.
